A dogs purpose is a fascinating book!

You might have heard of the movie, but if you haven’t already watched it I would recommend reading the book first. Just be aware the movie does not completely follow the same storyline as the book. This book is great for animal-loving kids but it might be a book that you read with your child as the story can get a little bit confusing, adults would definitely enjoy this book as well.

This book is a semi-fiction comedy book that can show the first time pet people what it's like to have a pet in your home. My favourite thing about this book has definitely had got to be the dog commentary and I feel like it’s quite spot on with what they wrote.

My star rating:

Appropriateness: (course language, scary scenes, mature themes for children under 13)

The dog does die in the book so if you have younger kids like 9 and under maybe reading the book with them as the dog does die. The movie is definitely more violent then the book though.

⭐⭐⭐

Progress: The progress in this story is perfect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Writing Style: The book is written so perfectly, but for under 9s the dialog might get a big boring. I'm still going to rate it a five though because the writing style is great.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Plot: The plot is planned out excellently and I loved every little twist.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an amazing book, which I would highly recommend!
